摘要
This paper shows how an equation-oriented process simulator can be employed to solve simulation problems related to the design and analysis of chemical processes. The flexibility of equation-oriented process simulators allow the development and use of problem-specific simulation strategies by considering the particular needs of the specified design/analysis problem. These strategies allow switching between steady-state and dynamic modes of simulation, switching between stiff and nonstiff methods of integration, and switching between modes of solution (solving a set of ordinary differential equations plus procedures or a set of differential-algebraic equations) for the specified problem. The integration of simulation and design/analysis of chemical processes is illustrated through four practical examples.
