CHARACTERIZATION OF ACTIVATED CARBONS BY UTILIZING THE NITROGEN ADSORPTION DATA

摘要
The low-temperature nitrogen adsorption isotherms measured on activated carbons are analyzed in terms of the αs-method in order to extract the amount adsorbed in the micropores from the total adsorbed amount. It is shown that this method permits extraction of the absorption isotherm in the micropores; this isotherm is described by an equation associated with the gamma-type micropore-size distribution. Parameters of this distribution are used to characterize heterogeneity of microporous structure of the activated carbons studied.
