摘要
Fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) is the major catalytic refinery process and the chemistry of some of the complex reactions occurring during FCC processing is reviewed and discussed. Experimental results for catalysts based on zeolite Y, and its modifications, and for comparison of zeolite Y and shape-selective catalysts are used to explain features of the underlying chemistry involved in the FCC process.
