摘要
Organizational learning is an emerging paradigm of strategy making. It focuses on continuous productivity improvement and innovation throughout the organization. This paper provides examples of mining companies which are successfully learning. Internal learning is central, and is presented in five phases. Formal collaboration, external shocks, reverse engineering and informal collaboration should each be developed as means of fuelling internal learning. Most mining companies have experienced organizational learning only passively. This paper, on the other hand, provides a structure and illustrations for active learning.
