BOUNDS ON STERILE NEUTRINOS FROM NUCLEOSYNTHESIS

摘要
We study the effects on nucleosynthesis of possible oscillations between νe, νμ or ντ and a non-interacting ("sterile") neutrino state. Taking into account the coherent interactions of the neutrinos with the primeval plasma is shown to be essential. Nucleosynthesis most likely excludes a significant portion of the mixing parameter space. The relevance to the solar neutrino problem of these considerations is discussed. © 1990.
