摘要：

The perfect state, G. baccata, was obtained from F. lateritium isolated from leaves of Celosia argentea L., showing leaf spot symptoms. This is the 1st reported case of the perfect state induced in isolates from this host in Nigeria. Perithecia were not formed when isolates from 2 stromatic or 2 nonstromatic strains of the fungus were crossed, but perithecia were produced when stromatic and 1 nonstromatic isolates were crossed. No perithecia were observed in nature. Production of perithecia was obtained only on agar containing host extracts.
