摘要
The back of the nose in the cat contains numerous warm receptors with spot-like receptive fields. They are not excited by mechanical stimulation. Multi-fibre preparations from this area respond to warming with an increased integrated discharge. At constant temperatures from 30°C on, single fibres from nasal warm receptors have a steady discharge, the frequency of which rises steeply with temperature up to 45°C and then drops to zero. Rapid warming causes an overshoot, rapid cooling a transient inhibition of the discharge. The maximum static and dynamic frequencies of single warm fibres are 50 and 200 Imp/sec, respectively, the maximum static and dynamic sensitivities 20 and 80 Imp/sec °C. © 1968 Springer-Verlag.
