摘要
X-ray, magnetic and Fe-57 Mossbauer effect measurements are made on 64 at.% Fe-Pt alloy during the transformation process from the face-centered cubic disordered gamma-phase to the CuAuI-type ordered gamma1-phase. This alloy is magnetically hard in the imperfectly ordered state of the gamma1-phase. The Mossbauer spectra show the following characteristic features: (1) Proceeding with atomic order, the spectrum splits gradually into two kinds of sextets which correspond to the Fe-57 atoms on the right sites of Fe and those on the right sites of Pt. (2) The value of the quadrupole shift is positive for the Fe site, and negative for the Pt site in the ordered state. (3) The line widths are asymmetric with respect to the center of the spectrum. These results can be explained well from a model based on the effect of atomic environment, in which the spatial disposition of atoms dominates the Fe-57 hyperfine structure of Fe-Pt alloys.
