MAGNETIC HARDENING OF MELT-SPUN AND CRYSTALLIZED SM-FE-V AND SM-(FE, CO)-V ALLOYS

摘要
The influence of annealing treatment on the magnetic hardening of melt-spun Sm-Fe-V and Sm-Fe-Co-V alloys with the ThMn12-type structure was studied. Starting from SmFe10.5V1.5, coercivities in the range 0.84-0.9 T and (BH)max values of 40-50 kJ m-3 were obtained. Cobalt substitutions for iron, e.g. SmFe9.5CoV1.5, led to a lower coercivity of 0.6 T but to increased values of (BH)max up to 60.8 kJ m-3 (7.6 MGOe). © 1990.
