摘要
Crystallographic and Mossbauer effect studies have been made on the ternary compounds (Sc,Y,Ln)-Co-(Si,Ge,Sn) which have the TiNiSi-type structure. X-ray analysis shows that the alpha parameter rises steeply compared with the change in the b and c parameters; this behavior is attributed to the presence of continuous zigzag chains of lanthanide atoms in the alpha direction. From the calculation of the interatomic distances in DyCoSn, it was inferred that the electron sharing between cobalt and tin may be a dominant factor in controlling the stability of the TiNiSi-type structure.
