摘要
This paper discusses the effects caused by a reduction of solvent content on some aspects of film formation taking place between application and gelation. The discussions are based on considerations of film phenomena during which the film viscosity can change by solvent evaporation, thixotropic effect, growth of resin molecules and/or temperature variations. This review also deals with two different types of high-solids paints, viz. air-drying decorative high-solids paints to be brush-applied, and high-solids stoving enamels.
