摘要
The action of various strong bases during the methylation of uronic acids has been studied in order to establish conditions that cause a minimum of degradation. The system methyl iodode-sodium hydroxidemethyl sulphoxide gave good yields of methylated uronic acids if the methyl iodide was added before the base. The methylation products were analysed by g.l.c.-m.s. © 1990.
