摘要
The C″5Πui → A′5Σg+ Herman infrared bands of 14N2 in emission from a free jet expansion have been recorded by Fourier transform spectrometry at an apodized resolution of 0.05 cm-1. The analysis leads to the determination of rotational and spin-coupling constants for the A′ lower state and finds term values for the Ω = 3 lowest spin component in the C″ upper state. Experimental vibrational energies and internuclear distances are compared with the results of ab initio calculations by Partridge et al. (J. Chem. Phys. 88, 3174-3186 (1988)). © 1992.
