摘要
The control facility plays a very important role in computer-integrated production. A new approach in the development of control software is presented and documented. The concept is based on a simulation package serving two functions-the simulation tool and the control facility. A prototype system called simulation control (SIMCON)1 is discussed. Advantages and disadvantages are outlined as well as requirements for operation of the simulation program. It is shown how the simulation/control program is integrated in a computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) environment. Finally, potential industrial applications are outlined.
