摘要
Optical short pulses at high repetition rate over 80 GHz were successfully generated using a monolithically fabricated passively modelocked distributed Bragg reflector laser diode for the first time. By using linear fibre compression, a transform-limited optical pulse train with a duration of 2.7 ps was obtained. The pulse envelope closley matched a sech2 waveform.
