摘要
The photoluminescence of GaAs microcrystallites with average sizes in the range of 0.35-1.3 mum has been studied experimentally. The observed spectral blue-shift and line-broadening of the luminescence are explained by spectral enhancement and inhibition of spontaneous emission due to a modified photonic density-of-states in the dielectrically confined microcrystallites.
