摘要
Microwave loss measurements to 40 GHz are reported for side-chain and cross-linked nonlinear optical polymers. Measurements on poled and unpoled materials are described. In addition reference structures using SiO2 in place of the polymer material are also measured in order to isolate the material loss from the electrode and package losses. Material loss for poled an unpoled polymers is estimated to be less than the measurement uncertainty (0.25 dB/cm) over the entire frequency range.
