摘要
The properties of a spherical lens made from chiral media are examined, using a rigorous electromagnetic approach based on dyadic Green’s functions. It is shown that separate focal points exist for each of the two circularly polarized eigenmodes present in the medium. Furthermore it is demonstrated that the lens can focus one of the modes while defocusing the other. © 1990 Optical Society of America.
