FLUCTUATION-ENHANCED CONDUCTIVITY AND MAGNETOCONDUCTIVITY OF HIGH-QUALITY YBA2CU3O7-DELTA CRYSTALS

We present measurements of the in-plane resistivity rho-ab of YBa2Cu3O7-delta single crystals with T(c) congruent-to 92 K and rho-ab(100 K) congruent-to 50-mu-OMEGA cm. The temperature dependence of the fluctuation conductivity and of the magnetoconductivity above T(c) is analyzed in terms of direct and indirect fluctuation contributions for layered superconductors. The combination of fluctuation conductivity and magnetoconductivity allows to determine both coherence lengths zeta-ab(0) and zeta-c(0) as well as the phase-relaxation time tau-phi of the pairs in an unequivocal manner. Evidence for clean limit type-II superconductivity in our crystals is given by large values of the mean free path l(ab) >> zeta-ab(0).
