CONDUCTANCE FLUCTUATIONS IN QUANTUM WIRES IN HIGH MAGNETIC-FIELDS

摘要
A numerical study of conductance fluctuations is performed in two-dimensional systems with a finite width in strong magnetic fields. The amount of fluctuations for the lowest and first excited Landau levels is close to that of metallic wires in weak magnetic fields where the Landau quantization is not important. The results demonstrate the universality of conductance fluctuations also in the quantum Hall regime.
