RECORDING DYNAMIC DIFFRACTION GRATINGS AND OPTICAL-PHASE CONJUGATION BY LIGHT-CAPILLARY PROFILING OF THIN LIQUID-FILMS

摘要
Recording dynamic diffraction gratings and cw-laser light phase conjugation have been realized experimentally using thin liquid films as nonlinear medium which surface profile was modulated due to the light-induced Marangoni effect. The relaxation time of the recorded gratings, diffraction efficiency and coefficient of reflectivity under conjugation were measured. The experiments were interpreted on the basis of computation of surface profile modulation amplitudes and diffraction efficiency of the recorded gratings.
