摘要
A technique is presented for adaptive modeling of an unknown system using the adaptive delay filter of D. M. Etter and C. T. Huang. (1986). This filter structure includes variable delay taps in addition to variable gains. The authors provide an analysis of the error function of the filter when the delay/gain elements are adapted sequentially. The technique was tested with two unknown systems to illustrate that it can correctly estimate both sparse and nonsparse systems. When the unknown system is sparse, this technique has considerable advantages over either the Wiener solution or the standard adaptive filter solution.
