FLUORIDE-ALUMINUM WATER CHEMISTRY IN FOREST ECOSYSTEMS OF CENTRAL-EUROPE

摘要
The concentration of F and Al free and bound forms were measured in several components of the water cycle at various forest ecosystem sites in central Europe. The sites encompass a wide range of geographical and vegetation type variation, as well as fertilization treatments. It is shown that the concentrations of Al and F forms in open land and stand precipitation and in soil water are highly predictable on the basis of thermodynamic computations which would take into account the speciation of these elements in acidic waters. F is usually bound by an excess of Al and transported in complexed form through the water cycle. Organic ligands of Al can trap a considerable amount of this metal, but in most cases this does not modify the amount of Al:F complexes to a significant extent. © 1990.
