摘要
It is shown that a recent model which has been developed to explain the impedance of an electrode for the situation where there is a discontinuous change of the electrode condition with potential due to the formation of a two-dimensional condensed phase is flawed in that (i) its assumptions run counter to thermodynamic requirements and standard nucleation theory and (ii) it takes no account of the requirements for a well-defined small signal electrode impedance.
