摘要
Spectroscopic determination of laser cross-section and quantum efficiency of the Er**3** plus laser transition at 2. 7 mu m are reported for a fluoride glass of the ZBLAN type. Comparisons with crystal values and other glass compositions are given. Emission spectra of Er**3** plus at 2. 7 mu m are presented.
