DOPAMINERGIC ACTIVITY IS REDUCED IN DIABETIC RATS

摘要
Dopamine [DA] synthesis rates in synaptosomes prepared from the striata of alloxan-diabetic rats were considerably lower than in control preparations. Striatal DA metabolite levels, after an initial increase, were also reduced at 3 and 6 wk after alloxan administration. Dopaminergic functioning may be impaired in diabetic rats.
