The boride series R2Fe14B (R = rare earth metal) develops very hard magnetic properties such as to be most promising magnet materials. Owing to the large magnetostrictive forces and the reorientation phenomenon (SR) setting at low temperature, the crystal and magnetic symmetry were seen to lower from P4(2)/mnm to Cm with temperature
