摘要
Delta-k lidar can be used to measure the amplitudes of small waves on the surface of the ocean as long as the tilt of the surface is known. This tilt can be inferred from DELTAk measurements at orthogonal polarizations. The wavelength of the lidar must be chosen so that the penetration depth of the light is much less than the length of the surface wave being measured; otherwise, the DELTAk signal will be reduced.
