摘要
Sub-aquatic applications of various epoxy coatings on immersed metallic structures were examined. For these coatings, the adhesive strengths are satisfying insofar as they are of the same order of magnitude as those obtained with the usual paint layer applied in open air. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to test the anti-corrosion performance of such applications. Generally with the application of a single layer, the studied formulations did not give good results. When two layers were successively applied, an important increase of the anti-corrosion performances was observed. The electrochemical studies clearly showed that the improvement cannot only be relevant to the thickness effect.
