HPLC ANALYSIS OF CLENBUTEROL, A BETA-ADRENERGIC DRUG, IN EQUINE URINE

摘要：

A method is described for the determination of clenbuterol [a bronchodilator] in equine urine [for the regulation of its use in race horses]. The analytical determination of clenbuterol in the pharmaceutical gel formulation used in this study has been previously described. The procedure includes the use of a commercial extraction column for sample cleanup. Separation was achieved using a cyano-type high-performance liquid chromatographic column and an aqueous solvent containing isopropanol and sodium dodecylsulfate. The methods is applicable within the concentration range of 2-100 ng/ml clenbuterol in equine urine.
