摘要
The three-dimensional optical transfer function for an annular lens is analytically derived under the paraxial approximation, and the three- and two-dimensional numerical plots are presented, showing the dependence of the optical transfer function on the size of the central obstruction. Results indicate, as is well known, that using an annular lens for three-dimensional imaging, the transverse resolution is improved whilst the axial resolution is poorer, compared with a circular lens.
