摘要
The authors studied recrystallization occurring at 7 pi /45 radian. left brace 111 right brace boundaries using Al bicrystals. In summary, new grains were more prominently at pre-existing left brace 111 right brace twist grain boundaries whose twist angles were decreased by tensile deformation than at the boundaries whose twist angles were increased. Also, in both cases, the larger the absolute changes of twist angles by deformation were, the more remarkable the left brace 111 right brace twist grain boundary recrystallization was. It seems that the left brace 111 right brace twist grain boundary recrystallization is more effectively dependent on the absolute changes of twist angles caused by deformation than on the initial or the as-annealed twist angles. The identical conclusion has been reached for the case when Al bicrystals with pi /2 left brace 211 right brace twist boundaries recrystallize. However, it appears that this is not the whole story of recrystallization.
