摘要
The Compton profiles of polycrystalline zinc and cadmium are studied. The measurements are made using 59.537 keV gamma-rays. The T-renormalized free atom model (RFA) and the orthonormalized linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) model are used to calculate the theoretical Compton profiles. The RFA model for the electron configurations 3d104s2 and 4d105s2 for zinc and cadmium, respectively, is found to give the best agreement with the experimental profiles.
