摘要
Crosslinked polymers of improved properties compared to those of pure polystyrene, are obtained by the thermal or radical copolymerization of styrene with 1,3,5-triisopropenylbenzene. The copolymers are transparent glassy solids, practically insoluble in most organic solvents and easily machineable. They decompose at about 350 C. Copolymers containing 5-30% of 1,3,5-triisopropenylbenzene exhibit the better properties.
