摘要
A improved approach for stability analysis of nonlinear systems is proposed. The approach is called "improved" because it works when other traditional methods do not. The complex, possibly higher dimensional nonlinear system is viewed as being composed of several isolated subsystems with interconnections to each other. The proposed approach divides the complicated stability analysis job into two simpler subjobs: one is to do the stability analysis for each isolated subsystem; another is to study the properties of the interconnections. We assume the interconnections can be bounded by a function of the norm of the state variables. This allows for more general interconnections than other approaches. Examples and computer simulations show that this approach can give results even when the problem is not tractable by other standard techniques.
