摘要
Composite materials provide a chance to tailor-make tribological properties such as the coefficient of friction and the normalized wear rate or desired combinations of these two. It is the purpose of this letter to suggest a way in which tribological experiments with anisotropic materials can be designed. This, in turn, should lead to useful data for optimization of wear resistance or for machining of composite materials.
