摘要
Torand-torand interactions and a network of hydrogen bonds appear to stabilize the supramolecular aggregate [1 . Li2(H2O)3]2+ (for ligand 1, see preceding communication). This complex, viewed here from the top with the n-butyl groups omitted, occurs as dimer of two 1:1 lithium-torand complexes. One of the three water molecules bridges the two "hydrated" lithium ions. The structure suggests that extended chains of stacked torands can be synthesized. . = N
