EQUILIBRIUM BEHAVIOR OF PURE SUBSTANCES FROM THE CONVEX MOLECULE PERTURBATION-THEORY

The recently developed perturbation theory of convex molecule systems is applied to determine the equilibrium behaviour of pure non-polar compounds. Systems with molecules of several types are considered (roughly spherical, prolate and oblate) and it is shown that their equilibrium behaviour along the coexistence curves can be described up to the reduced temperature (Tr≤0.9) with fair accuracy not depending on the shape of molecules. Parameters of the Kihara pair potential of 21 compounds are given. © 1990.
