摘要：

A stock collapse has resulted in the closure of the commercial salmon fishery in the province of New Brunswick on Canada's Atlantic coast. Meanwhile, the New Brunswick recreational salmon fishery has remained open which the commercial fishermen are unhappy about. This paper assesses the closure in light of the estimated economic viability of the commercial fishery.
