摘要
A new layered cuprate, Gd2CaBa2Ti2Cu2O12, which has a perovskite-related structure, has been discovered. The crystal structure is investigated by powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and Rietveld analysis. It has a tetragonal symmetry with lattice parameters a = 3.894 angstrom and c = 35.49 angstrom. In the crystal there are sheets consisting of CuO5 pyramids, which is one of the common features of p-type high-T(c) superconducting cuprates.
