CRETACEOUS CONCHOSTRACAN FAUNAS OF CHINA

Eight conchostracan faunas are known from the Cretaceous rocks in China. They are the Early Cretaceous Orthestheria and Late Cretaceous Aglestheria faunas from the south-west China biogeographic province, the Early Cretaceous Yanjiestheria fauna from the north and southeast China provinces, the Late Cretaceous Linhaiella and Tenuestheria faunas of southeastern China, and the Euestherites and Daxingestheria faunas of northeastern China. The Nemestheria fauna is widely distributed in mid-Cretaceous strata in most regions of China. © 1994 Academic Press. All rights reserved.
