摘要
If a solid is covered with a quasi-liquid-film, each Fourier coefficient of the solid density vanishes with a characteristic decay length within the liquid film. A microscopic theory is employed in order to calculate these decay lengths and to study their dependence on the orientation of the surface plane and on the microscopic interaction potential. The results are compared with recent surface experiments on Pb. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
