RENORMALIZATION OF INFRARED ACTIVE PHONONS BY INTERBAND-TRANSITIONS IN LAYERED SUPERCONDUCTORS

摘要
The influence of interband transitions resulting from charge fluctuations between different CuO2 layers on infrared active phonons in high temperature superconductors is calculated. Under special conditions in the superconducting state a two-peak structure of the phonon with rapid variation of the oscillator strength is found. This may explain recent far-infrared experiments on Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O10. © 1990.
