摘要
Recent structural studies have revealed a cubic-tetragonal transition in some ordered Ba(B-1/2'B-1/2'')O-3 perovskite ceramics. We confirmed the displacive improper ferroelastic nature of this transition without unit-cell multiplication by Raman spectroscopy on ceramic Ba(Y1/2Ta1/2)O-3 revealing a soft phonon mode only in the tetragonal phase. The transition is analogous to the well-known structural transition in simple perovskite SrTiO3.
