EFFECT OF CONTACT POINTS BETWEEN PARTICLES ON THE REACTION-RATE IN THE FE2O3-V2O5 SYSTEM

摘要
In accordance with Hao-Tanaka's model, the powder reaction rate in the Fe2O3V2O5 system is quantitatively correlated with the number of diffusion component of V2O5 particles in contact with one Fe2O3 particle, ranging from 671 to 37575. The traditional spherical shell model of Valensi-Carter is not valid, in spite of such a large number of V2O5 particles. Experimental data of the conversion with the lapse of time give linear plots of both equations of Valensi-Carter and Hao-Tanaka, however, only the latter is suitable from the result of detailed examination of the two equations. © 1990.
