摘要
A new method for the design of optical multilayer systems is presented. A genetic algorithm is introduced to search for the optimal parameters of the system. The basic theory of genetic algorithms as well as their application to the design of optical coatings is described. The problem of the synthesis of a rejection filter is solved and a comparison with the inverse Fourier transform method is made.
