摘要
Spermidine dehydrogenase was formed when Citrobacter freundii cells were grown in a medium containing Fe2+, Mg2+ or Ca2+. Among these metal ions, Fe2+ was found to be the most effective. Formation of the enzyme in the presence of Fe2+ was approximately 10% of that when spermidine was used as carbon and nitrogen sources. Fe2+ was inert as an electron acceptor for the spermidine dehydrogenase reaction and the effect of Fe2+ to form the enzyme was lost when Fe2+ was used together with chloramphenicol. © 1990.
