摘要
Magnetization and impedance of an electrically conducting sphere, which is inductively coupled with an arbitrary, sinusoidally alternating current density distribution, are calculated analytically. The general results are applied to the special case, where the external current density distribution is concentrated on thin, toroidal rings surrounding the spherical sample. Measurements of the impedance can be used for a contactless determination of the electrical conductivity. This problem is addressed in a final section.
