摘要
Scanning tunnelling microscopy has been applied to the study of the topography of polyacrylonitrile (PAN-based) carbon fibres in air at ambient pressure. Local atomic structures of approximately trigonal and hexagonal symmetry are observed, in agreement with the perceived carbon fibre structural model. The experimental results presented offer evidence for the existence of graphite-like (or "graphene") structures on the surface of the carbon fibres examined. In addition, the general features of the topography of the PAN-based carbon fibre are presented. © 1990.
