摘要
A detailed assignment of the ν(CO) region of [Os3(CO)12] and [Ru3(CO)12] in the solid state is obtained by using relative intensities of these vibrational modes in the i.r. and Raman spectra. A qualitative intensity prediction is possible by recognizing that the real crystal structure of these solids, space group P21n; C52h, may in fact be obtainable by a slight distortion of a more symmetric structure, space group I2/m; C32h, with half the unit cell content. © 1990.
